Wendel Clark was one of the most popular Maple Leaf players and Captains ever. He could score and he was physical. Wendel was named NHL All-Rookie Team 1986
Wendel being selected #1 in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft, Wendel was a star defenseman in Junior with Saskatoon. Toronto converted him to a forward he scored a career high 46 goals in 1993. Prior to being drafted he won Gold at the World Junior Championship
