Rick Vaive scoring #50 vs the Blues in 1982, he recorded 54.He become the 1st leaf in franchise history to score 50 or more goals. Vaive would score 50 twice more in 1983 (51) and 1984 (52). He scored an average of 37.5 goals a season as a Maple Leaf.
Rick Vaive started his Pro Career as a "BABY BULL" as a member of the WHA Birmingham Bulls. He then went to the Vancouver Canucks and was traded with Bill Derlago for Dave "Tiger" Williams and Jerry Butler. Vaive and Derlago were line-mates for most of there leaf career. 


After retiring Vaive went into coaching in the ECHL and AHL, he is now a host on Leafs TV.
