William "Bashin' Bill" Barilko,Defense 1946-1951

This was Barilko's last goal, scored against Montreal Canadians Game 5 Stanley Cup Finals game winning goal on April 21st -1951. In his 5 year NHL career he was on 4 Stanley Cup winners in 1947-1948-1949 and 1951. His number 5 was retired, he only wore it for the 51 season.
On August 26, 1951, Barilko joined his dentist Henry Hudson on a flight aboard Hudson's Float plane to Seal River,Quebec the plane and passengers disappeared. 11 Years later the wreckage was discovered 100 km north of Cochrane,Ontario. While he was missing the Leafs never won the cup again, ironically in 1962 though they won the first of three straight.
